We had a fun surprise the other morning.  We had some 'guests' waiting for a ride in our 1928 Chevy when we went outside.  Now who is the culprit that left these friends for us?

Jason, Heidi, and family came to spend the weekend with us.  We showed them the sites around the area and they checked out the various shops that were still here.  We explored some mines & found some cool-looking rocks.  It was really a treat having them at Church - they were the only children there.  Both Baxter & Bridger got to help pass the sacrament  we were very proud of them.

We also celebrated Grandpa's birthday while they were here.

The playground was a bit hit with everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PHIL! and a Happy Valentine's Day, too.
All of 64 years ago, a new baby boy joined the family of Raymond & June Baker.  He was welcomed by 4 older sisters & 2 brothers.  Phil got to celebrate this special day today in Quartzsite and shared our activities with another friend, Glen Stevenson, from Boise, Idaho, who is also celebrating his birthday today.

We hiked up Q Mountain, then enjoyed a drive through some rough wilderness area, followed by lunch at Burger King.

We love you, Phil,  and hope you enjoyed this special day!

We helped Aunt Wanda celebrate her 88th birthday on Feb 4.  She was so excited to ride around in the 1928 Chevy.  Here is a picture of Aunt Reva, Aunt Wanda, & Phil.

It's official - We have made the move into our place at Gold Star RV Park space C-62.  We're doing our best to liven it up with real cactus & metal yard art.

We've got the satellite tv and internet working so now Phil can relax a bit.  Don't look too closely as you will see the weeds coming up which will need some work.  No rest yet.

This is a picture of the thriving metropolis of Quartzsite, AZ in January.  Notice all the trailers & campsites around the area.  Our place is in the top right corner of the flag picture.  Maybe you can pick out the steeple of our LDS Chapel.  These pictures were taken from Q Hill.  Phil relaxing after the climb up the hill.
We also entered our 1928 Chevy Touring Car in the Classic Car Show this weekend.  The show was held in the huge tent that you can see in the first picture.
This week we made the trip to Phoenix to visit Glen & Laurel.  They took us to the Gilbert Temple site which they expect to complete by Fall, 2013.  We had a nice visit & lunch with them - Thank you, Glen & Laurel!
