Wow, here it is July already.  Hard to believe that it's been a month since our family was here for a visit.  We had a special fireside at Martin's Cove where we got to meet Pres. & Sister Anderson, our mission president over the Rapid City, South Dakota Mission.
We also had some more family surprise us with a nice visit so we were happy to show them around Sixth Crossing.  Thanks for stopping in to see us!

We had the privilege of serving last week, June 23 - 30, 2014 at Rock Creek Hollow where we greeted all visitors & told them the importance of RCH to the Willie Handcart Company.  It's a very sacred place with the grave memorial of 15 pioneers who are buried there.
On Friday night, we had 3 different youth groups there with about 700 people camping over.

Totally organized chaos for a while, but Elder Baker handled it all in stride.  It really surprised us how readily all the youth get settled into their camps and the next morning how quickly they all disappear - almost without a trace of them having been there.
We experienced a tender mercy when we met up with Robyn & Augustine's daughter, Celestine,  who was found among the 400+ of her stake.  What was the chance of us being here at the same time she was & meeting up with her.  That was fun!
On Monday, June 30, our week at Rock Creek Hollow was over and we said good-bye to Meiers who get to finish out their week.
We are really enjoying our experiences here and seeing all the youth groups come to learn about the handcart pioneers.  Testimonies are growing and we are being strengthened.
